Fall frenzy!

Fall is by far my favorite season ever. I am in love with Winter as well, however Fall is that time where you can feel the heat fading and the cold settling in (well, where i'm from). This may sound a bit much, but I do get excited when the leaves change colors. Makes me feel warm inside. Okay okay, enough of the gushiness.

So fall! You much know you need boots, a jacket that's not too thick (so you can layer under) and some jeggings. So far, I have the jacket and the jeggings but still researching for the perfect pair of brown boots. The jacket that works for me is from Urban Outfitters - Ecote Surplus Jacket ($78)

I love the color of this jacket. The military green color would compliment anyone's skin tone. I can layer a sweater and scarf in here, without looking bulky. And pulling up the sleeves makes it look more balanced.

Jeggings! Whoever came up with this idea is gee-knee-us! Love them! Especially the ones from Gap. They are so incredible comfortable and what i've noticed is that it actually makes my thighs look skinnier. Thank you! Gap's Jeggings come in mulitple washes which is nice. They run around $69, so waiting for the sales are nice too.

Boots. Can't really show a picture on it as I have not found "the one". However when I do find it, I will make sure to post a picture on it. Maybe even with an OOTD?

Let me know your favorite boots, or jeggings :)

Happy Monday!

I've decided to share with you an HG (holy grail) product that I truly believe in, every Monday. Let's hope I keep up with this ;)

So.. in my day to day life, i'm a nurse. I love it in all aspects and would never trade it in for anything (unless Beyonce asks me to be her back-up dancer). haha jokes. Okay seriously now! Being a nurse, I am constantly washing my hands. And usually, the soap that they provide for us are pretty harsh and barely moisturize our hands. I've used various lotions in the past, however most of them have a film of oil or water that doesn't actually help "moisturize".

It wasn't I stopped by Kiehl's to see if they had anything to offer me and my sand paper hands, that I was introduced to the Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve. Love this lotion! When I put it on, there's a weird "glove-like" feel that makes my hands feel so soft. Here's a better description of it from the website:

"Formulated for the driest, most active hands, this heavy-duty moisture treatment is a thick, rich formula offering all-day care and protection. Our blend of select ingredients allows skin to actually draw and absorb water from the air, forming a "glove-like" protective barrier against moisture loss. This formula, which contains a blend of botanical oils as well as natural wax derived from Olive Oil, further soothes, moisturizes and conditions skin. This most effective preparation helps protect against and repair the appearance of severe dryness caused by heavy industrial work, manual labor, neglect, or exposure to harsh elements."

I've found my go-to lotion. Have any of you tried it? Any other hand lotions I should try?

Inspiration: Style Icons

So a little style background on me: I am as simple as it gets. No lie. You will probably never see me out in public with a graphic tee on. In my opinion.. I just can't pull it off. My closet is composed mostly of plain, one-colored ensembles. A few striped shirts here and lots of floral dresses.. but that's about it. I'm just fond of playing with a plain with shirt, paired with dark jeans and adding maybe a colorful cardigan on top. That's my blank canvas.

But everyone has a style icon that they admire. For me, it's 3 people: Rachel Bilson, Olivia Palermo and Audrey Hepburn.

Simple, classy and beautiful.

New beginnings

Hello hello!

I have been exposed to the blogging world as a teen. However, talking about all things me and what I did this day and "yadda yadda" is pretty boring. So this whole thing is pretty new to me..

I am absolutely in love with watching makeup videos on YouTube and reading blog posts on fashion. I love watching "haul" and "monthly favorites" videos due to the fact, that in some way, I can relate to these girls to an extent. Now, though I do have my favorite YouTube stars (which are entirely my decision), none of them have anywhere near the same skin tone as me. Which let me first say, is in no way a bad thing! I just feel like its nice watching people who are within the "same" tone as me. But ehhh.. maybe that is just me.

Now seriously, I love makeup. I love fashion. However, I am in no way an expert on either of these two. I am simply inspired by people I pass by on the street, and people I glare through on magazines. I love love love playing with makeup and with clothes! And with that, I hope to share my tidbit knowledge of a part of my passion with you all.

So cheers! To new beginnings and new friends :)
